Rasheed Bey, a charismatic Black businessman in 1970s New York, is defying family and societal norms by being a husband to five Afrocentric wives, all of whom remain committed to their shared union with him. His particular spiritual faith justifies his unconventional relationship, but is kept discreet as a means of protection from a disapproving Wellington Heights community. When an adventurous Caucasian woman from Rasheed’s professional life proposes the idea of making her the last wife he’s allowed, his present wives must be convinced that she’ll add undeniable value to their polygamous Black marital dynamic.
This story takes you back to an era where new religions are being explored in African American New York society. And as long as Black men like Rasheed can financially support multiple wives, while tackling the grit of the streets and the boardroom, he’s allowed to be married to up to a half dozen women. Rasheed will face many challenges, triumphs and losses, while maintaining a steadfast determination to overcome adversity and keep all of the women in his life completely satisfied.
“This unique story gets straight to the point and packs a punch from page to page. The tale of the ideal man keeping 6 wives in marital bliss was riveting. Trouble comes, but happy follows. Put this book at the top of your MUST Read list!”

Book excerpt from: "Rasheed and the 6th Wife"
Excerpt 1
So, they knew that polygamy was allowed and practiced. As a result of those many discussions, they decided to commit themselves to a polygamous marriage. Rasheed was always popular among all female members of the Circle. They all looked at him and imagined him as an ideal husband. He eventually married five of them concurrently.
Excerpt 2
This polygamous marriage was still successful five years and ten children later. Each woman had two children and they all seemed to be incredibly happy and content with this lifestyle. One day Rasheed’s law firm hired Audrey, a beautiful blond haired, blue-eyed woman of German descent who was about the same age as Rasheed. They often worked together because of their similar experiences and educational background in their perspective fields. They became good friends. She had a tremendous amount of respect for Rasheed’s intelligence and the skillful way he got things done. She also had a crush on him, and he knew it. He also knew that it was an unspoken law that he could not be involved with women of a different culture. Caucasian women were considered the devil worshipers. As they continued to work together Audrey’s feelings for Rasheed continued to grow and she did everything she could to convince him that she was not evil. She was a 34-year-old single woman who agreed with his polygamous lifestyle and wanted to be his sixth wife. Rasheed had always managed to sexually satisfy his five wives but was not sure whether it would work if he added another woman to the family.
Excerpt 3
Rasheed and Audrey went back to their separate rooms in the hotel. Audrey took a shower and freshened up. She knew that this would be her opportunity to convince Rasheed that she was not a demon soul and that she could please him.
